What is a giclée print?

Giclée comes from French and translated literally means “squirt”, which in this case refers to the process by which the ink is applied to the paper. The nozzles of an inkjet printer spray a pattern of very fine drops onto the paper that later form the picture. The image is generated onto coated, archival artist’s paper using pigmented inks, which are UV resistant.

What is it printed on?

We print on the Rolls Royce of Archival Matte papers. The paper is lignum and acid-free. And it's gorgeous – if you like paper as much as we do.

How do you package your prints?

We spent a great deal of time researching the best way to package our prints, to ensure they arrive with you in pristine condition.

So with this in mind, our smaller prints are packaged in compostable bags and delivered in card backed envelopes, with stiffeners. Our larger prints are rolled and mailed in a cardboard tube for protection.

Will the colour of the print match my screen?

We have gone to extraordinary lengths to make sure that the digital reproductions are as close as they can be to our printed reproductions, however there may be a slight difference in colour.

The good news is they look even better in print.

Could you recommend anywhere for frames?

We can. Habitat, John Lewis, Neilsen and DeSenio produce a great range of affordable frames, in all the sizes we print. But if you're going to have one made, we think they look particularly good 'float mounted'. A little bit like the Monro range at Habitat.

My order has been damaged, what do I do?

We take the greatest care with the packaging of our products to ensure they will arrive with you as they left us. However, we recognise on the rarest of occasions damage may occur during flight.

In the unfortunate circumstance that this happens, please email us with photographs of damage to the packaging and product and we will contact you ASAP.

My order has not arrived, what should I do?

Please allow the appropriate amount of time for your order to arrive. But if you find that you have been waiting a lot longer than stated, please email us and we look into it for you.

What is your returns policy?

Due to the nature of our ‘print on demand’ products, they are non-returnable.
